Moreton Bay Regional Council is Open for Business
Moreton Bay Regional Council is the third largest Local Government in Australia based on population. It currently has 370,000 residents and by 2031 will have in excess of 530,000.
It has been the fastest growing Local Government in Australia for almost 10 years with an average growth rate above 4% each year. Its economy has been growing at just over 9% for a number of years.
The Moreton Bay Regional Council has just adopted its Economic Development Strategy which is encouraging businesses to move to the growth areas in the Region. This presentation will outline the reasons why it makes sound business sense to move to the Moreton Bay Region.

Scott Templeman, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism
Scott Templeman is the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism at Moreton Bay Regional Council. He has been in the role since the Council came into existence following the amalgamation of Pine Rivers, Caboolture and Redcliffe.
Scott has been working in the fields of business, industry and economic development for 15 years. He wrote the “Guidelines for Incorporating Economic Development into Local Government Planning”. These guidelines won a National Award.
