Michelle Crockford
Jigsaw Australia
After a career spanning government, defence, education, and community sectors, Michelle Crockford came to Jigsaw Australia for one reason:
an opportunity to use her skills to give back. Jigsaw is a social enterprise that trains and transitions people with disability into
mainstream employment, helping people build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to find and keep a real job. It's purposeful,
people-first work, and Michelle is right at the heart of it. She believes that inclusion works best when it's done with intention, dignity,
and opportunity at the centre, and Jigsaw is where she gets to live that belief every day.
What Michelle loves most about her work is the combination of purpose and practicality. She's part of something that genuinely changes lives, and she feels it every time she sees capability grow in someone and knows it's opening doors that may once have felt closed. For Michelle, that's what it's all about: the people, and the shared belief that real opportunity changes everything.
Michelle came to the Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce as an Executive Committee Member for the same reason she came to Jigsaw: an opportunity to give back. She's passionate about building the kinds of connections and partnerships that help local businesses survive, thrive, and grow. That community spirit is what the Chamber is all about, and Michelle embodies it.
