Steven didn’t set out to be an event manager - he just fell into the industry in 2002 and loved it so much he never left. After working for a large national event management firm, Steven decided to strike out on his own, seeking an environment that aligned with his values of honesty, transparency, and ethical practice. 

That’s how Anagram Events Australia was born, built on a philosophy of delivering unforgettable and inspiring event experiences. Steven’s approach is refreshingly straightforward: he brings himself to the table, listening to what clients need and working tirelessly to make it happen. Whether it’s a conference, business event, or awards ceremony, he loves seeing all the hard work come seamlessly together - and getting to meet experts from around the globe along the way.

What drives Steven is the diversity of his work and the satisfaction of creating something memorable. His strengths lie in being genuinely service-oriented and customer-focused, ensuring all stakeholders walk away with a superior experience.

Steven tackles challenges with a flexible approach - sometimes he’ll stop, think, and strategise the best way forward, while other times it’s a dive-straight-in, sink-or-swim situation. This adaptability, combined with his solutions-oriented mindset (the word “failure” isn’t in his vocabulary), has helped him navigate everything from last-minute venue changes to complex stakeholder expectations.

Outside of work, you’ll find Steven creating art, renovating, travelling, gardening, or enjoying good food. He’s got a surprising soft spot for corny Christmas movies, even though he’s not particularly a fan of the holiday itself. Steven’s honest, ethical approach to event management and his commitment to win-win outcomes for everyone involved make him a natural fit for supporting the Chamber’s events and ensuring our members have experiences that truly deliver.
