Speakers
Our host for the day is Annette Densham, Creative Director of The Audacious Agency.
About Annette
From her first foray into the world of journalism at 15, Annette Densham was hooked on sharing other people’s stories. With a 30 plus year career in newspapers – The Australian, Financial Review, and Daily Telegraph, magazines (print and digital) and corporate communications, this ex journo now uses her skills to teach small business people how to use their stories to connect with the world and build influential brands, and most importantly, believe they are worthy of success.

Anna-Liza Mopio-Jane
As a former elite athlete, sports administrator, and events coordinator, Anna-Liza has over 20 years of experience in the sports industry. With international level competition experience in swimming, representing Papua New Guinea at the 2008 Beijing Olympics Olympics and three Commonwealth Games, she understands the demands and pressures that athletes and high performers.
Anna-Liza now runs her own private counselling practice with a focus on working with clients such as athletes and other high performers who are striving for success and high performance within their careers. Her focus is on helping clients prioritise their own mental health and wellbeing while uncovering their own unique pathway to elite and high performance.
Alice Barbery
Alice Barbery took the helm as CEO in of the Universal Store 2017. Since that time, she has had a management buyout in 2018 from the original family start-up and, in November of 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, led the way to a successful ASX float. Universal Store has continued to go from strength to strength and currently operates 67 stores, including online.
Alice is passionate about creating safe work environments where great people are motivated to contribute their best efforts, passionate about the best outcomes for the whole, and strive to be better than their last record-breaking result, overcoming challenges is rewarding and motivating. Success is not about if- it’s about how and when.
Daniella Pittis
As the Chief Security Officer of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), a business severely impacted by COVID19, Daniella has had to maintain the security and compliance posture of the organisation, manage significant resourcing impacts and ensure the safety of all team members globally, all the while dealing with the challenge of a significant uplift in cyber security risk.
Daniella is a prominent advocate for diversity, inclusion and equity within Security and Technology industry and her platform as a leader within the industry to speak out for Diversity and Inclusion through a variety of speaking engagements, mentoring opportunities and advisory board committee positions, including on the UQ Business School Advisory board and FCTG’s own Womenwise Committee.
Charity Partner
We are pleased to announce that our charity partner is The Forgotten Women, a unique, grassroots housing initiative for homeless women over 55. The project's mission is to put a roof over the heads of as many of these vulnerable women as possible. Through the acquisition of suitable properties, The Forgotten Women project will ensure these women have access to secure, safe and affordable housing options that enable them to age in place.
There will a raffle on the day with all proceeds to be donated to The Forgotten Women.
