The Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce and Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to our annual International Women’s Day Long Lunch. Proudly sponsored by Ambient iT, this signature event celebrates the invaluable contributions of women to our business communities and beyond.

This event is open to everyone, regardless of gender, and we encourage all our members, their guests and anyone who would like to attend to join us.

This year's lunch is aligned with the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, Accelerate Action.

Introducing our Guest Speakers

Our MC for the event will be Yas Grigaliunas. Yas delves beyond the ‘showreel’ and revels in the ‘real reel.’ She evokes emotion, inspires introspection, and is boldly blunt in her unapologetic, unleashed, and unfiltered style. For Yas, being BRAVE means being Raw, Authentic, & Vulnerable every day. Yas is comfortable sharing her truth and evoking emotions. Traversing transitions and championing change is where she is most fearless, with a friendly and fanatical fortitude to encourage and empower others to find fullness & purpose.

Libby Trickett | Keynote Speaker | 7-time Olympic Medallist
Libby Trickett, OAM, is one of Australia’s most celebrated swimmers, with gold medals from the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympics, as well as a world record in the short-course 100-metre freestyle. While her achievements in the pool are legendary, Libby’s impact extends far beyond her sporting career. Now a devoted wife to Luke, a mother of four, soon to be five, and an advocate for mental health and community wellbeing, she continues to inspire others with her dedication and authenticity. Libby is proud to support organisations like the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Beyond Blue, and The Carers Foundation Australia, using her platform to champion meaningful causes. Through her passion projects—Play On, The Sport Social, and All That Glitters—she fosters personal growth and connection, proving she’s as dynamic out of the water as she was in it.

Kassandra Behrendt | Speaker | Founder & Creative Director of Pagoni 
Kassandra is a powerful speaker and advocate for resilience, whose journey through childhood adversity, breast cancer, and depression fuels her mission to empower women. She teaches that embracing playfulness can be the key to reducing stress, igniting creativity, and leading with purpose.

Kassandra brings an unyielding belief in the value of joy and authenticity to the workplace. Her message is clear: when women step confidently into their true selves, unapologetically embracing both their strengths and vulnerabilities, they cultivate environments rich in creativity, motivation, and resilience.
