In her presentation, Sue will explore how Micro-credentials offer a flexible way to learn new skills, progress your career, and stay up to date with emerging technologies and technical advancements.

Sue has over 30 years’ experience in the electrical industry, completing her electrical apprenticeship in 1986.Sue gained experience in a variety of areas and went on to train electrical apprentices for seven years at TAFE Queensland, before moving into vocational education and training compliance as a senior lead auditor.

Sue spent several years as General Manager at a private electrical RTO, where she was integral in the design and build of the first renewable energy training facility in QLD. Sue has now returned to TAFE QLD and for the past two years has been a Business Manager with TAFE QLD.

Sue is on several committees including electrical safety office educational committee, Women on Tools committee with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and most recently the Strategic Industry Advisory Body for Powering Skills Organisation.

Sue holds a Bachelor of Training a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and has just completed a Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies with UQ.
