Values Led Business Practice

Matthew Glennon (BOQ Aspley) and Gary Somerville (Tradies On Track) will be hosting the 5 February Night Owls event. Throughout their presentations, Matt and Gary will aim to share with members:

• Some insight into their own career in business, and share the experience of their journey
• Discuss the values that underpin their business activities, and how these values can be incorporated into the day-to-day decision making of your business
• Provide some useful tips on assisting members to better manage their financial affairs, specifically in the banking and bookkeeping space.

Speakers:

Gary Somerville
Gary has only come to business in the last 10 years, having worked in both the Government and Corporate sector for the majority of his working life. His working life includes the mines of Central Queensland, to being a travel agent, to working in a variety of management roles with Tourism Queensland, to freight handling, and then into the finance and administration side of trade businesses. He and his business partner, Chris Lehmann, own and operate two businesses, both of which are members of BNCC – Tradesmen On Time Electricians, and TMOT Bookkeeping & Admin Services. He is a Qualified Bookkeeper and BAS Agent.

Matthew Glennon
Matt stared his business life as a freelance graphic designer and had many varying roles from print to web based design.  Saw an opportunity to move careers into banking 10 years ago with Bank of Queensland and has loved it ever since. Progressed into becoming an owner of BOQ Aspley some 12 months ago with 2 other business partners.
