International Women's Day 2017
On International Women's Day (8 March), BNCC held its 9th annual breakfast to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Whilst there is much to celebrate, progress towards gender parity in many places has slowed to such a degree that in 2015 the World Economic Forum predicted that it will be 2133 before global gender parity is achieved!
110 members and guests gathered to celebrate togetherness and hear the achievements of adventurer Alyssa Azar - the youngest Australian to summit Mt Everest.
We were delighted that students from 8 schools heard Alyssa's powerfully inspiring message. She is a great role model.
