Changes for businesses from 1 July 2025

From 1 July 2025, several changes will take effect for businesses, including:
- Increases to business name and company registration fees
- A 3.5% rise in the National Minimum Wage
- Super guarantee rate increasing to 12%
- The Environmentally Sustainable Procurement Policy extending to three additional procurement categories
- The ATO will begin paying superannuation on government-funded Parental Leave Pay
- Tax deductions will no longer be available for ATO interest incurred on or after 1 July 2025
- Eligible small businesses may receive up to $150 in energy bill rebates
- Skilled visa income thresholds will rise by 4.6%
Additionally, from 26 August 2025, the Right to Disconnect will apply to small businesses.
