Meet Our Chamber President, Simon Penrose

Simon Penrose is the President of Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce. He has been a member of the organisation for 20 years.

Simon’s extensive career as a Senior Technical Sales Professional has involved working across the Telecommunications, Property and Retail sectors. His positions have included Channel Manager, National Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager and Retail Manager. He has worked with numerous organisations from SME’s to global companies and Government entities in Australia, US, UK, New Zealand, PNG, South Africa, Chile, Indonesia and Brazil.

After more than a decade working as National Technical Sales Engineer for Surecom, Simon has recently taken up a new role with Accentis Pty Ltd, a wholly Australian-owned information systems solutions company.

Accentis specialises in the manufacture and sale of world-class enterprise information and management software. The company’s flagship product is Accentis Enterprise, a multi-user accounting, manufacturing and enterprise management solution purpose-built for Australian businesses.

Outside of his day job, and on top of his work with the Chamber, Simon has been involved in numerous community organisations and has held a number of committee positions including the Brisbane Airport Community Aviation Consulting Group and the Brisbane North Development Forum.

Originally from Narrabri, NSW, Simon has lived in Brisbane since 1992. He is married to Tanya and they have two children Jessica -15 and Luke - 13.
