Bncc Welcomes Toombul Shopping Centre
Toombul Shopping Centre has joined Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce.
The northside retail hub is home to more than 130 businesses as well as a number major stores including Coles, Kmart, Target, Aldi and Bunnings .
Acquired by Mirvac in 2016, the centre has undergone extensive refurbishment in recent years including 44 new and revitalised stores.
Capping off the redevelopment will be a new 5,100 sqm entertainment and dining precinct.
Known as ‘UPSTAIRS’, the new precinct is set to open in November 2019.

Mirvac is investing $35 million into UPSTAIRS with art-inspired décor, multiple dining options and a landmark circus/arcade bar.
Toombul Centre Manager, Melanie Hodge, said UPSTAIRS is set to take Brisbane’s suburban food and entertainment scene to a new level.
“Toombul is at the epicentre of a rapidly growing and urbanised community in North Brisbane who want entertainment and places to socialise and dine.
“Brisbane’s newest dining playground will become a place for people to socialise and be entertained,” she said.
BNCC President Simon Penrose said Toombul was a welcome addition to the chamber.
“We’re delighted to have Toombul on board. The shopping centre has been part of the Brisbane business community for more than 50 years and it’s great to have them join us here at BNCC.
“Not only is the centre going through an exciting time of change and modernisation but there are dozens of smaller enterprises within Toombul who we hope all of our members can engage and connect with as fellow northside business owners.”
