BeamS Road Upgrade Underway

Work to improve one of the northside’s major east-west road corridors, commences this month.

The Beams Road upgrade is designed to make the road safer, reduce traffic congestion and improve travel times.

In addition, the improvements will make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to get to nearby shops and amenities.

The road already carries 19,000 vehicles a day and is set to get busier with significant growth forecast in the Carseldine, Fitzgibbon, Taigum and Zillmere areas.

Doval Constructions has been awarded the main construction contract to deliver the Lacey Road to Balcara Avenue section of the upgrade on behalf of Brisbane City Council.

Dorval currently has a number of opportunities available for northside suppliers including:

  • Construction equipment hire
  • Traffic Control
  • Drainage works
  • Block and brick works
  • Concrete works
  • Linemarking
  • Fencing
  • Landscaping
  • Gaurdrails
  • Labour hire
  • Supply of quarry products

If your business is interested in being a potential supplier to the project, send an expression of interest information to info@doval.com.au

The Beams Road upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian Government for $50 million, and by Brisbane City Council under the Better Roads for Brisbane Program.
