ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2018


“Memorable events, record turnouts and a steady growth in members.”

These were the highlights of another successful year for BNCC according to President, Simon Penrose, at the chamber’s Annual General Meeting on 5 November.

Simon paid special tribute to all who had contributed to BNCC’s success.

“The combined collective efforts of members, the executive and our support team have resulted in countless new connections, referrals and ultimately business being done through the chamber.

“From the significant increase in attendance at our business expo earlier in the year, to last month’s sold out Pink Ribbon breakfast and our recent surge in attendance at Night Owls, the signs are all positive for 2019.”

The AGM heard reports from the President as well as from Chamber Treasurer, Robin Joe Kong of Northern Business Consultants.

Joe was among five executive committee members who will be continuing in their positions including Peter BaileyAndrew KonefalBelinda Shaw and Mark Passfield.

A number of new committee members who were also appointed including Andrew PapadimosTameka Bramwell and Milan Pavasovic. Renominating were Richard FroehlichDan Buzer and Simon Penrose.

The chamber would like to pay special tribute to three members who stood down at the AGM after a number of years of service to BNCC. They were Jo HassanWendy James and Richard Comer.

This year we also thanked and said goodbye to two members of our support team, Tanya (15yrs) and Travenna (13yrs). Their tireless years of service and work behind the scenes has contributed enormously to the chamber's success and the smooth running of so many of our events and functions.  We wish them every success in their future endeavours.

Finally, we'd like to thank our current support team of Julia, Susan and Mark for all their work supporting the chamber and its members throughout 2018.
