Small business is Blake Whitby’s passion.

Blake has worked for ANZ for 15 years in a variety of retail and business banking roles. He first came to Brisbane in 2016 and was appointed the bank’s small business area manager.

In this role, Blake leads a team of nine small business bankers operating from Brisbane’s CBD all the way up to Beerwah.

Blake says the most rewarding aspect of his job is the opportunity to meet, talk and listen to small business owners.

“When you hear people’s stories you immediately understand why small business is the backbone of the economy.

“It’s this understanding of the importance of small business that drives my team to create the tailored financial solutions our clients need to start, run and grow their businesses.”

Blake recently shared his passion for small business by presenting at the Chamber’s October Night Owls event, which was sponsored by ANZ.

His talk was an opportunity to showcase how ANZ is offering more than traditional banking services for business, with Blake presenting the bank’s all-in-one HR platform for business, Employment Hero.
